Nestled in the trees on a hill overlooking Missouri Town is the Abijah Withers, or Squire’s House.  This historical home offers old-fashioned charm as a backdrop for your wedding.  Views of the neighboring pasture and forest provide wonderful scenes for photography and video of your special day. (The Flintlock Church is not available at this time.)

Availability

Outdoor weddings may be booked year-round at Missouri Town Living History Museum, excluding days of special events. Due to a lack of outdoor lighting, all guests must leave the site at dusk. 

Site Rental: $700

The fee for renting the Squire's House at Missouri Town for your service is $700.  A 50% deposit is required when booking your wedding date.  The remainder is due 30 days prior to your wedding date. You may also add the following additional services:  

  • Rehearsal:  $100
  • Outdoor Reception: $100

Other Reception Locations

If you are interested in having a reception at Fleming Meeting Hall or lake shelters in Fleming Park, please contact the Registration Division of Jackson County Parks + Rec at 816-503-4805 for fees and availability.
