About Camp
Take the plunge and discover the fun of Jacomo Summer Camp! We're located at Kemper Outdoor Education Center - a beautiful 40-acre site nestled in the Fleming Park Nature Preserve on the east side of Lake Jacomo. Campers spend most of their time outside experiencing the wonders of the great outdoors!

Age Requirement
Must be 6-11 years old on camp start date, Monday, June 1, 2026. Campers will be in groups according to their age on June 1, 2026.

Activities
Most activities at Jacomo Summer Camp are outdoors and designed to instill a love of nature and discovery. Each week, campers enjoy canoeing, swimming, archery, fishing, kayaking, hiking, nature study, arts and crafts, and weekly themed field trips. Once a week, we visit one of Jackson County's beautiful beaches! Your camper is ensured to have a great time and make friends.

Camp T-shirt: $15 - One-time fee (must be worn on all field-trip days)
All fees must be paid at the time of registration. Space is only secured after fees are paid in full.
Cancellation Policy:
Camps cancelled one week from the first day of their registered camp week will receive a refund of the payment + a $30 cancellation fee to the original payment method. Cancellations made less than a week out from your registered camp will receive 50% back of the payment to the original payment method.
Transfer Fee: $20 fee applied if changing sessions after your child is enrolled.
Registration
Sessions are filled on a first-come, first-served basis by age groups. Early registration is encouraged to ensure your child’s space in your desired session. Space is secured upon receipt of enrollment and payment in full. Jackson County Parks + Rec is excited to offer you the flexibility of registering for Jacomo Summer Camp sessions any time, day or night, with our online registration. If your desired session is FULL, call 816-229-8980 to be placed on the waitlist.
How to register:
Step 1: You must have an account
- If you’ve used our online registration before, you already have a Username and Password. If you've forgotten your login information then click on “Forgot Password” and follow the instructions to reset it.
- New Users:
1. Click on Need an Account
2. Complete the form and click Finish
Step 2: Register
- Select your child's age group according to their age on June 1, 2026.
- Choose the weeks you would like to register for.
- Register and submit payment for your selected weeks to confirm your child's spot.
Step 3: Complete the Required Parent Pack Forms/Profile
After you have registered, please complete the required forms. Forms will be sent to the registrant’s email within 24–48 hours following registration. Your child will not be able to attend camp until we have received and processed all required information. Please return completed forms via:
