Canine Adventure Challenge
This non-competetive obstacle course spells fun and teamwork for you and your dog. The course features 20+ obstacles to intrigue and challenge. It's done on leash, allowing all dogs to join in. Anyone can do it!
Grab your leash and lace up your hiking boots! This one-mile dog-walk gets you moving down our nature trails when fall colors should be at their peak.
Two-minute fun runs. Dogs must complete a pre-qualifying run. We reserve the right to refuse dogs not ready for the contact obstacles.
For dogs of smaller stature who are no more than 20" at the shoulders. The agility obstacles are a scaled down version more appropriate for their size. If you and your smaller dog have experience and are proficient on agility equipment, come check us out!
In K9 Nose Work we start training indoors but then expand search areas to the great outdoors, increasing distractions and odor complexity. If you and your dog are already proficient with K9 Nose Work and you'd like the opportunity to practice your skills, join us for this activity.
Show off what you learned in obedience class (heeling, stand, come and stay in Novice and Pre-Novice). There is no scoring and you may use treats or Gentle Leaders. No harsh corrections or e-collars allowed. Test your dog's ability!
Have your dog perform the commands at each sign. You may use hand signals, verbal commands and praise freely. Test your dog's ability. Divisions include Novice and Advanced
Does your dog know a lot of tricks? You may be able to earn a Trick Dog Title! We will be evaluating both AKC and Do More With Your Dog titles. (There will be a Best Trick Competition in the Center Arena at 2:30 p.m. Contest participation is free!
The American Kennel Club's CGC Program rewards dogs who show good manners at home and in the community. Dogs who pass all 10 exercises receive a certificate from the AKC. Bring your dog's rabies certificate and a dog brush. Details can be found at http://akc.org (go to Events). You will need to pay an additional fee to the AKC to receive your certificate.
