Overhead Map of Fred Arbanas Championship Golf Course

The Fred Arbanas Golf Course was named to honor Fred Arbanas, the former star tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, who was part of the winning 1969-70 Superbowl Championship Team.  Following his retirement from the Chiefs, Fred served as a Jackson County Legislator (3rd District At-Large) for more than 40 years, and as Chairman of the Land Use Committee that oversees the Parks Department for 34 years. We lost Fred in 2021, but his legacy lives on throught Jackson County and right here at the Fred Arbanas Golf Course.
