About the Park

The Park is located on 1,856 acres and borders the Little Blue River from Longview Lake north to Blue Mills Road.

In 1985, Jackson County Parks + Rec completed the purchase of the Little Blue Trace Nature Preserve.

Amenities

An 11-mile hiking and bicycling trail highlights the park, which also includes - along this trail system - 4 shelters, 30 picnic tables and a softball field. The trail currently starts at Blue Mills Road and extends 11 miles to I-70. It will ultimately extend to Longview Lake.
