Blue + Gray Park

About the Park

Blue and Gray Park is located on 1,733 acres 7 miles south of I-70 on Buckner-Tarsney Road.

Nestled in the oak and hickory hardwood timbers of eastern Jackson County, the beautiful terrain of Blue and Gray Park is popular with horseback riders and hikers. Because of the great interest in horseback riding at Blue and Gray Park, the park features a parking lot with pull-through capability for large trailers.

Other facilities include a shelter house on Hammond Road, 6 picnic tables and (pit) toilets. The natural setting of the area offers a great opportunity to study wildlife and enjoy the wilderness. There are also facilities for primitive, organized group camping.

There is a fee for overnight horse camping on Brown Road.
