About the Lake
Blue Springs Lake, located in Fleming Park, offers 720 acres of water excitement. It features a public beach, a campground, six picnic shelters, and the lakeside marina. The lake is a popular destination for boat owners who enjoy power boating, water skiing, tubing and jet skiing.

Marina
Blue Springs Marina offers lakeside fun for everyone! Kids and adults alike love to feed the fish off the docks, from spring to fall. Pick up a bag of ice, food, beverages, and shop the selection of bait and tackle, floats, tubes, and other water toys. Private boaters can stop by year-round for fuel, overnight slips and their daily or annual permits. Pontoon boats are available to rent from April 15 - Oct 15. Dock fishing is available beginning the Tuesday after Labor Day, through the Friday before Memorial Day (call or visit the marina for hours and dock fees).
Permits
Boat permits and motor permits are required for all watercraft using our Jackson County lakes and waterways (Blue Springs Lake, Longview Lake, Lake Jacomo, and Prairie Lee Lake). Annual Permits may be purchased at the marina or at the Parks + Rec Administration Office. Single day permits may be purchased online. Visit our Permits page for more information.
Beach
Blue Springs Lake Beach offers certified lifeguards, changing rooms, and volleyball.
Fishing
Fishermen enjoy Blue Springs Lake for its beautiful tree-lined shores and "big catch" of the day. Hybrid Striped Bass, Bluegill, Largemouth Bass, Carp and Catfish make Blue Springs Lake a fisherman's delight. A fish cleaning station is also available for our patrons' convenience. Always a great time for the entire family, Blue Springs Lake is your summer fun spot.

Water Sports
Important notes about Blue Springs Lake water sports:
- Windsurfing is permitted Monday - Thursday from sunrise - sunset, and is prohibited Friday - Sunday and holidays. Operators must wear a Type I, II or III Personal Flotation Device as approved by U.S. Coast Guard.

SUPs are allowed on Blue Springs Lake, Longview Lake and Prairie Lee Lake on Mondays - Thursdays only, and not on holidays. They are allowed on Lake Jacomo seven days a week. See Parks FAQ for more information.
