Managed Hunts in Jackson County Parks
Jackson County Parks + Rec, in cooperation with the Missouri Department of Conservation, has conducted Managed Hunts in selected parks since 1994. The purpose of the program is to maintain deer populations at manageable numbers to prevent overpopulation, reduce the risk of disease infestation and help reduce deer/vehicle accidents. Twenty-two hunts will be conducted in seven Jackson County parks in 2024.
